Tent Pitch

If you fancy camping look no further!

The Little Welsh Wood has seven flat pitches dotted around mature beech
trees and behind bushes to give you some privacy and five meadow pitches which are more open and just perfect for large families.  Each pitch includes:

• A large grass pitch
• Picnic table
• Firebowl
• Allocated flushing toilet & hot shower in nearby cowshed which may be shared at peak times. One woodland pitch has a compost loo and gas shower in situ.
• Woodland pitches only have a covered hut for food preparation, storage, or drying clothes
• Optional Electric Hook Up available to some woodland and meadow pitches, please specify if required

Our campsite is open year-round for the hardiest of campers at special request, but our main camping season runs from April to October with a minimum 2-night stay during the low season, check-in on any day.  During the high season, we have check-in/check-out days on Monday, Wednesday, Friday only.

Our woodland is a vehicle free area, and we provide wheelbarrows for taking your camping gear from the car park to your pitch.

We have converted our wooden Cowshed into a toilet & shower block. The Cowshed is open at both ends and is very airy! Each pitch is allocated a toilet and hot shower which may be shared at peak times. At the end of the Cowshed, we have an outdoor washing up area, and the other end houses our communal fridges and freezers and electric charging point for phones and devices.

As this is a peaceful site, please keep noise to a minimum between 10.30pm and 7.30am. You are welcome to light a fire in the designated campfire places but please don't do this when it's windy and never leave it unattended.

Pitch + 2 Adults over 16 yrs          £30 per night

Check in any day during low season but with a minimum of a 2 night stay.

Availability - High Season

Friday 26th May - Sunday 4th June (Half Term)
Friday 14th July - Monday 4th September

Pricing - High Season

Pitch + 2 Adults over 16 yrs          £35 per night

Check-in/Check-out days Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.

More than 2 in your party?

Additional adults and children can be added to your booking.

Additional Adult 16yrs+  add £12

Children 4-15 yrs  add £6

Children 3 & under - FREE

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome - maximum two per pitch - but must be kept on a lead while on the site and you must pick up any dog mess and put it in our 'dog poo' bin. Dogs charged at £10 per stay/per dog.

Electric hook-up

Electric hook-up is available at £6 per night.

Check in/Check out times

Arrivals are from 3-8pm, please contact us if you know you will be late.

Check out for our camping pitches is 11am.

Due to Covid-19, we need as much time as possible on turnaround days to thoroughly disinfect facilities before our next arrivals.

Additional Services

You can purchase logs, kindling and fire lighters on site or you are welcome to bring your own. If you happen to bring your own portable toilet we sell the toilet chemicals on site.  We can also arrange daily supplies of bread, milk, fresh produce, groceries and alcohol from our next door neighbour who, very conveniently, is a greengrocer.

We have tried hard to offer you camping with comfort and convenience but all done in the most eco-friendly way and, importantly, keep you safe.  All we ask is that you clean your pitch before you leave and take your rubbish to the recycling point in the car park.

All you need to do is bring your own tent and camping gear then sit back, relax and enjoy!

Payment

50% due on confirmation of booking, balance due six weeks before arrival date.

We prefer to receive direct bank payments and will give you the details with your booking confirmation.  We also accept payment by debit or credit card via our secure Stripe payments gateway, if this is better for you.  Please see our T&Cs for  payments and cancellations and cancellation in the event of  Coronavirus.
