NOW OPEN ALL YEAR!

Woodland camping & glamping in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park,
a perfect location for exploring coastal and inland Pembrokeshire.

First opened in May 2021, Little Welsh Wood is an eco-campsite run by mother and daughter duo, Celia and Isabel Harries. Situated just a few miles from Milford Haven, we are less than five miles from some of the very best beaches Pembrokeshire has to offer, and our central location is ideal for exploring our spectacular county.

COFFEE SHOP & DONKEY WALK

Wonky Donkey Coffee Shop

Our ‘Wonky Donkey Coffee Shop’ will be open for the summer serving freshly made coffee, teas and hot chocolate together with home-made cakes and pastries.

The tiny coffee shop will be open for breakfast if you fancy a bacon roll to start the day and we will also be making picnics for you to take away but you will need to order the day before.  Finally, we will also be offering a range of award winning BBQ meats from local Prendergast Butchers  for you to cook up whether it’s on the beach or at the campsite.

We really hope our tiny coffee shop will enhance your stay at Little Welsh Wood.

Donkey Walk Experience

Come and try a donkey walk experience!  This is a chance for you to meet our ‘ boys’ Peter, Paul, Roger & Sean and lead them on a gentle walk around the meadow and wood – no donkey rides though.  You will learn all about these lovely animals on our walk and after we put them back in their paddock with some carrots or ginger biscuits (who would have guessed donkeys love ginger biscuits?) you can join us for a picnic at our Wonky Donkey Coffee Shop.  If you’re lucky you might hear Peter or Sean bray – it’s a marvellous, deafening sound!  Paul doesn’t say much and we have never heard Roger make a squeak but there’s always a first time for everything.  We hope this will be an enjoyable experience for you, for us and for the ‘boys.’

We loved this campsite. Friendly hosts, beautiful private pitches in the trees, and everything is so well cared for and... clean. We loved that even loos have fresh flowers grown on the farm in them. What really made the place stand out for me is that the pitches all have a little covered area to cook in with a table top to prepare food, a fire pit and a picnic bench, which makes things so much easier especially when travelling with kids. Our little ones loved it, lots of space for them to run around and explore. We will be back!read more

We just had the most wonderful stay in a geodome at Little Welsh Wood. The campsite was absolutely stunning and perfect... for two little ones to potter about. The geodome was incredibly comfortable and perfectly laid out. The little kitchen was ideal and had everything you would need. The showers and toilets were spotless and it was a great touch that each site had their own! Would highly recommend although maybe wait until we’ve booked our next stay so it doesn’t get too busy!read more

Just returned from an amazing trip- it is by far the best campsite we have ever stayed at.Amazing facilities, we were... on a pitch with its own gas shower and composting toilet, and the food prep hut was so useful for storing food and having a sheltered place to set up the kitchen bits. It took all of the hassle out of camping. The owners are attentive and the site was beautifully maintained.Could not recommend little Welsh wood more!!read more

Just returned from this beautiful, quiet campsite and so pleased we found it! Celia and Isabel have created such a... special, natural and tranquil place to relax and switch off in and they are both so lovely! We stayed in a tent pitch in the beech wood with electricity hook up overlooking a large meadow. The pitch was really spacious and quite private surrounded by longer grass and wildflowers. The picnic bench, fireplace and wooden shelter were great facilities and we appreciated the dedicated shower and toilet too. Glamping options also looked fabulous! An amazing hidden gem of a campsite in beautiful Pembrokeshire! Thank you both for having us ?read more

Small Campsite, lovely tree pitches and fantastic amenities. We got our own personal loo and shower. They also have... fridges and freezers on site and you can charge your phone in the toilet block.Things you need to know!1) can't buy wood for a fire, so buy some. There are firepits2) no pubs nearby so stock up3) if you go down a road which Google maps suggests. You will get to a barn with a church up the road on your left drive past that and it's the next left.read more

Stayed here for the bank holiday weekend. The site is lovely. It's small but the pitch sizes are very big and you get... your own allocated toilet and shower and undercover food prep area. The pitches are spread throughout a beautiful little woodland and the toilet block is a lovely converted cow shed. The location is great and we spent most days on the beach around Marloes. We managed to see Seal pups at Martins Haven. Hope to head back again soon.read more
